Very clean, immaculate. thats why i picked it. got my bellybutton pierced and it turned out awesome, very healthy and clean. the guy was kind of standoffish and i would venture to say rude... also they gave me no after-care instruction at all.

This place is wonderful!! Extremely clean, friendly and open. The artists are very talented and always take their time to give you exactly what you want. Given the amount of time and talent they put into your tattoo, the prices are great as well. They are helpful, and everyone there will answer all your questions without making you feel silly or uncomfortable. The guys are funny and it's always a good time. I've gotten several things done here and will never go anywhere else.

I've gotten several things done here, from tattoos to piercings, and have never had a bad experience. First off, the shop is clean, open and an extremely friendly atmosphere. From the second you enter to the moment you leave, the guys there are just wonderful and make you feel right at home. They take pride in their work and will never make you feel embarrassed for having a question. The artists understand that tattoos are a big thing for anyone and will always work hard to give you exactly what you want. Everyone is always smiling and laughing, which helps to calm your nerves and keep you relaxed. Everything they do is custom and unique, just as any tattoo should be. Given the amount of talent and time the artists put into each thing they do, the prices are amazingly reasonable. I recommend The Gallery of Ink to everyone and will never go anywhere else.

My experience at The Gallery of Ink was great! when i walked into into the shop it was bright and clean. everywhere i looked i saw beautiful artwork on the walls which was a good distraction when i was getting my tattoo. all the guys were really nice and funny. they were joking around & laughing. it was like a big happy tattoo family. all the artists seemed happy to be there and the customers even more happy cuz they were getting their custom tattoos. me and my friends got tattoos from 2Tone and are very pleased with his work. i just told him an idea of something i wanted, and he drew up a beautiful unique design that i can treasure forever. overall my tattoo experience was great. nice clean shop, professional artists and and a good atmosphere where i felt comfortable and had a fun time. i will definately come back to the gallery of ink to get more tattoos. u can also look at all the artists' tattoos on their website.... thegalleryofink

My husband and I were looking for a place to get tattoos. We had an appointment earlier in the day at Blue Magic in Crystal Lake and we got screwed around by them for a 2nd time. So we were searching the internet and found The Gallery of Ink. From the first phone call when Steve answered, he was awesome. We drove out from the northwest suburbs into the city and we were greeted very warmly. When you walked in it was so clean and the windows were darkened on the outside so nobody could stare in. You had a lot of privacy. Steve was wonderful and great to talk to. He got us set up with our artists. I had Pete and my husband had Tim. They are two of the most chill, funniest people that we have ever met! They made us feel comfortable right away. They drew up our designs and within a 1/2 hour we were in the chairs. At no point was I uncomfortable. The whole shop was nice and friendly. We goofed around alot when getting tattooed and that took the pressure off. We were able to take breaks if needed. When my tattoo was done, Pete and Two Tone even walked with me so I could go buy a drink for me and my husband! Now that is great SERVICE!

They used disposable sterilized needles, always were changing their gloves and wiping down things. Their equipment was spotless. VERY CLEAN!!!

They show you the utmost respect and make you feel like part of the family. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend going to The Gallery of Ink whether its your first tattoo or 10th. I would say if you are someone who is considering getting their first tattoo, go to them!!! You will never have a better experience. They dont make you feel intimidated when you walk in the door.

We plan on going back to them in the near future and they are now the only shop we will go to. We have had quite a bit of bad experiences, but they blew away any other tattoo shop.
